Jilly’s 28 Days Of Unreason Poetry – Day 18
Write a poem inspired by this quote:
“We’ll know as children again all that we are destined to know, that the water is cold and deep, and the sun penetrates only so far.”
Jim Harrison from Death Again
The water is cold and deep
but the Sun penetrates
deeper than the ocean’s floor
and higher than the moon’s beyond
Lighting the way to follow
where Wisdom’s rays
shine down upon
the earth’s dark recesses
Calling to the comatose souls
to awaken with a child’s heart
open, abandoned, untainted
by pain and betrayal
Pure instinct and ability
to love unconditionally
this, their divine destiny.

Nothing in this world compares to a child’s innocence and open heart. Love the rays of wisdom…God knows, the world needs more of that.

Yes you are right about God knowing we need more rays of wisdom but sadly a lot of Christians now a days are not willing to truly lay down their pride and be those rays of wisdom! Sweet Blessings Vivian! ❤
