As she reflects on her life’s journey

she stands in awe of who she has become

from what she once was – emptiness, death…

In her reflections into her soul

she sees a Dawning of Light

where once there was only darkness

a precious, gentle and quiet spirit

where there once was angry, violent rage…

*

She is returning to her True self of

whom she was always meant to be

always desired and strived to be

before her innocence was taken and

the oppression she suffered devoured her

leaving her soul dying within her…

*

Now in her Dawning of Light

she has risen from the ashes

to devour the oppression that

once devoured her becoming

the empowerment to leave behind 

the darkness of an empty death

to a Woman graced in the wholeness of Love
