The fidelity of her heart
wavers in weakness
feeling so unloved
she desires to stay true
in her journey of faith
but this long, dark season
tries her beyond her limits
it is more than she can endure
longing to commit adultery
and forsake all she’s ever believed
she isolates to her inner retreat
to rest in her soul’s paradise.
