A cut soul bleeds
stained tears upon
her face
a betrayal so deep
words cannot express
her face
the completed masterpiece
sorrow’s beauty

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.

Art is not simply works of art; it is the spirit that knows beauty, that has music in its soul and the color of sunsets in its handkerchief, that can dance on a flaming world and make the world dance too.

This world with all its beauty and all its vibrancy is just so because it is not fixed, because everything is contingent.

How did the rose ever open its heart and give to this world all of its beauty? It felt the encouragement of Light against its being; otherwise we all remain too frightened.

Word Of The Day Challenge – Awakening
It begins with a
rugged, uphill battle
a road paved with
spiritual scars
unevenly paved cobblestones
these paths, not pretty,
not smooth, instead…
Wisdom building,
beauty making pain that
leads to a precious gift
a down for the count surrender
and there, we are met by God
where He gathers our
spiritual scars
weaving them into an
embroidered tapestry of
fulfillment through selflessness
that will shroud the downtrodden with
a Love that heals and conquers all!
