Word For The Day…

From:  Gratefulness.org

Whenever I experience something beautiful, I am with Soul. That moment of inward breath, that pause and awareness of “how beautiful this is” is a prayer of appreciation, a moment of gratitude in which I behold beauty and am one with it.

V.J.’s Weekly Challenge #77 – Pause – As the world bustles, and we rush to meet deadlines, check off to-do lists, and fulfill those party invites, find a moment to pause, look, and listen.  Share a photograph, thought, or inspiration.

Living Poetry Monday Poetry Prompt – Taking – This week let’s write a taking poem. Next week will be all about giving, so let’s focus on its inverse. There are so many things we take: notes, pictures, care, advantage, for granted.

A moment’s pause

A focused breath

A ready stance

For taking flight into

Unknown territories

Where undiscovered Truth

Is revealed and transforms

Wings into Wisdom

Grace the wind beneath…

Eternally

Your Daily Word Prompt – Capture – August 3, 2019

Maria Antonia Weekly 2019 Photography Challenge – Come join me, each Saturday, in posting a photo. There is a list of the prompts to help inspire us. The order of the photos won’t matter. In other words, you don’t have to start at the top and move toward the end. For this challenge, you may pick any prompt on the list and start with that.  MY  CHOICE FOR THE PROMPT:  IN THE WOODS

Autumn, The Netherlands.:

outside, in the woods

where nature captures my soul

peace becomes my breath

Promise #245:
I give life and breath to all things.

Acts 17:24-25 (WEB)
24 The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn’t dwell in temples made with hands, 25 neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.

Paloma – Dove; a symbol of Peace

Imagination – vision

Breath Of Peace

the symbol of peace
a dove of holy beauty
vision of breath

the symbol of peace
descends upon and within
soul’s tranquility

a dove of holy beauty
divine in every aspect
untainted and pure

vision of breath
breathing life force into us
sustained eternal

Word From A Grateful Heart…

Word From A Grateful Heart

Many years ago I once suffered from a paralyzing form of PTSD for 18yrs because of all the violence and defilement I grew up in.  One of the side effects I struggled with was anxiety attacks that often times made it hard to breathe.  I used a lot of guided meditation to help get my breathing back on track again.  Now, by God’s redeeming grace, I am loosed from PTSD and its plethora of side effects.  Today, I remain one accord with the Spirit that is His breath and I am grateful for the ease of breathing and the gift of remembering to take moments throughout the day to be still and breathe!

Please share with me in the comment section: What are you grateful for today?

Much Love & Many Blessings,

Deborah

Bare Pages, Bare Heart – Prose Poem

Weekend Writing Prompt #36 – Begin

Word Prompt – Begin

Photo Prompt:

As I stare at the bare pages in front of me
I take a deep breath and be still in the moment
with pen in hand I speak the truth from within
the soul must have its voice or suffocate in silence
bringing death to the spirit without a purpose to ignite
In the mist of inspiration whispers are composed
awakening a brilliant artistry to behold
touching the heart of the one who reads the utterances
With the power of the pen and an inner sigh is how I begin
to tell the spiritual journey’s lore of wisdom gained through pain
not with a New Year’s resolution that will remain unkept
instead with a choice each day to release the words unwept
Therefore, there are no expectations to disappoint
only desires that are fulfilled beyond imagination’s point
As I stare at the bare pages before me…
to scribe this poet’s heart for all to see.
