Bridge To Autumn Blessings

Written In Response To:

Maria Antonia Weekly 2019 Photography Challenge – Come join me, each Saturday, in posting a photo. There is a list of the prompts to help inspire us. The order of the photos won’t matter. In other words, you don’t have to start at the top and move toward the end. For this challenge, you may pick any prompt on the list and start with that.

Frank J. Tassone Haikai Challenge 102 (8/31/19): Autumn Contemplation (shuushi) – This week, write the haikai poem of your choice (haiku, senryu, haibun, tanka, haiga, renga) that states or alludes to Autumn contemplation (shuushi.)

as I cross the bridge

in Autumn contemplation

there’s awakening

refreshing soul’s new season

of promised blessings to come

Word For The Day…

From Gratefulness.org

I wonder if gratefulness is the bridge from sorrow to joy, spanning the chasm of our anxious striving. Freed from the burden of unbridled desires, we can enjoy what we have, celebrate what we’ve attained, and appreciate the familiar. For if we can’t be happy now, we’ll likely not be happy when.
