Blossoms unfold
their glorious beauty
creating a domino effect
of joy upon hearts
the view is clear
waters are gentle, calm
absent is fear
the Sun shines healing
ease of breathing
heart beats in rhythm
upward is Soul’s gaze
leaving behind
the world’s craze

May such calm of soul be mine, so as to meet the force of circumstances.

The Haunted Wordsmith Elemental Writing Challenge & Opposites Attract Challenge April 3, 2019
Opposites Attract Challenge: I provide one word and a list of its antonyms. The challenge is to use the prompt word AND one (or more) of its antonyms in some form of writing (or creative work).
Today’s word: blissful
Antonyms: displeased, dissatisfied, joyless, sad, unhappy, unpleased, unsatisfied.
Elemental Writing Challenge: For this challenge, we will explore one of the four elements: air, earth, water, fire. This week’s focus is AIR. Simply use the word and/or image provided and be inspired by the natural element. As usual, anything goes! Just have fun.
Today’s word and image:
Calm
Coasting along in air balloons
sailing through the sapphire sky
honey bathed in blissful calm
as the Sun shines its warmth
upon my face drawing me
closer to heaven’s halcyon
leaving my soul unable to
be sad or dissatisfied but
instead abide in a peace eternal

Only if we become calm as earth, fluid as water, and blazing as fire will we able to rise to the task of peacemaking.
