Sometimes when the soul
is hit with too many
things at once
it dives into distress
frozen, unable to focus
the stirring inside
disrupts the flow of peace
can’t find the words to pray
tears will not release
it is then the only source of
comfort can be found
in the healing balm of
Mother Nature

Promise #233:
I bind up the brokenhearted and I will comfort all who mourn.
Isaiah 61:1-2 (WEB)
1 The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound; 2 to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;

Times of scarcity need to be met with generosity, times of fear with comfort, times of uncertainty with presence. When we care for those around us, we create a field of love.

There are times when
this sojourn walked
can become wearisome
for the soul and
it is then the Spirit
guides the soul to
plush green grass with
its sweet fresh scent
to lie down and rest upon
while listening to the
still quiet waters comforted
knowing that in the dawn
of a new morn the soul will
awaken refreshed and restored
from the tender loving care of
The Shepherd.
