Clarity…sometimes the soul aches

to receive it thus banishing the confusion

yet, at times nothing is heard

in that moment one awakens

to realize a deeper maturity of Spirit

the Presence of Grace is often silent…

clarifying all confusion.

A Realm Within The Soul

Snow Falling Desktop Backgrounds Nature

In a realm within the soul

there is a place where one can wander

aimlessly, seeking a way out

of the confusion

~ * ~

Listening but hearing only silence

feeling one’s way around

unable to see through like

being caught in a vast snow storm

~ * ~

This realm, can seem so endless

calling out for help, listening

with every fiber of being

for a response…

~ * ~

But oh, the deafening silence

that turns up the volume of

the voices of fear and doubt

feeling so alone, so disconnected

~ * ~

Desperately aching for someone to care

to be heard and not feel crazy inside

oh this seemingly unending realm

how and when is the way out to clarity…

~ * ~

Be still and know…Wisdom will guide the way.

Beyond The Mist

Beyond The Mist

In the early
morning mist
is where I leave
my questions of

As I wait for
the mist to clear
and bring clarity
to my soul’s tear
that the ache
may rest and…

Move on into
the unknown destiny
awaiting me
beyond the mist…

Where promises are
fulfilled by the
Promise Keeper…

Where life shall be
abundant and full
and poverty- a thing
of the past…

Where love will
cross my path—
beyond the mist

Escaping The Mind’s Pandemonium

Sammi Cox Weekend Writing Prompt #58 – Pandemonium

This weekend your challenge is to write a poem or a piece of prose in exactly 81 words.

Escaping The Mind's Pandemonium

The wind blows
the storm ensues
the mind’s pandemonium
leaving one confused

Running this way and that
looking for something
to calm the mental combat
ending up in a circular maze

Collapsing from exhaustion
crying out in despair
can nothing quite the voices in the head
that bring about this constant dread

Now to weary to fight this battle
into a deep sleep with help from the bottle
finding comfort in darkness of night
was the only way to take flight
