Word For The Day…

From:  Gratefulness.org

We did not ask for this room or this music; we were invited in. Therefore, because the dark surrounds us, let us turn our faces toward the light. Let us endure hardship to be grateful for plenty…We did not ask for this room or this music. But because we are here, let us dance.

Word Of The Day Challenge – Lackluster

Your Daily Word Prompt – Lies – April 27, 2019

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #24 – Every Wednesday I post a photo.  You respond with something CREATIVE.

Behind the intricate ornate door

is a gathering of souls who hold the key

there is but one requirement to enter

a soul must walk in the light of Truth

if a soul walks in the dark of lies it then

becomes lackluster and cannot enter

because Truth is the key that opens the door

to a soul’s rest and rejuvenation…

for one can become weary standing for Truth

in a world so torn apart by rivalry, anger, and hatred

it is a privileged vocation to be signs of a

love that can bridge all divisions and heal all wounds.

In The Unseen Realm

Sammi Cox Weekend Writing Prompt #13 – Light

Poetry Challenge – Write a poem of no more than 15 lines about “Light and Dark”, that repeats at least two lines of the poem.

In The Unseen Realm

Light and dark are opposites in the unseen realm
Yet in the dark is where light is found
But in light no dark can be found
When light is sought dark shadows follow
Trying to hold on to the soul’s pain,
Its angst, its sorrow, and its lament
For dark does not want the soul to be free
But to languish in the depths of spiritual death
And in this light meets the downtrodden soul
Shining upon the captive dark
That will always run from the light
Because dark cannot withstand the purity of light’s truth
It trembles and fears its death in the light
Yet in the dark is where light is found
Light and dark opposites in the unseen realm

The Darkest Music’s Beauty – Freestyle Poem

Jilly’s 28 Days Of Unreason Poetry – Day 7

Write a poem inspired by this quote by Jim Harrison:

What beauty in this the darkest music over which you can hear the lightest music of human behavior, the tender connection between men and galaxies.”  From Warbler / Dead Man’s Float

The Darkest Music's Beauty

Ah, the beauty that happens
when the darkest music
plays in my soul
with its lyrics of despair
that bring me to my knees
to realize the dark human behavior
that caused this music to play
awakening my inner eyes to see
the need for my human behavior
to be enlightened
and become the lightest music
that is the tender connection
to the Lover of our souls
