Noticing that everything is interconnected, that love and light exist amid the darkness, and that not all is lost can nourish us on our paths.

Eugi’s Causerie I Weekly Prompt – Transition – August 24, 2020. Go where the prompt leads you and publish a post on your own blog that responds to the prompt. It can be any variation of the prompt and/or image. Please keep it family friendly. Prompts close 7 days from the close of my post.
V.J’s Weekly Challenge #110 – Smell – What is your relationship to smell? (Don’t tell me you didn’t know this was coming, lol.). Look forward to reading your responses. Just create a post and link back here. All welcome.
Madness of nation’s darkness
moments of light
few and far between
soul’s embitterment
taste intolerable
attempting to recall
memories of sweet
failure brings surrender
powerlessness cloaks eyes
exhale…inhale…
smell transition’s aroma
just as nature’s
change of season
a promise to trust
good shall rise up and
shine like Autumn’s brilliance
laying to rest
death’s shadows
upon humanity.

It is a huge danger to pretend that awful things do not happen. But you need enough hope to keep going. I am trying to make hope. Flowers grow out of darkness.

Darkness deserves gratitude. It is the alleluia point at which we learn to understand that all growth does not take place in the sunlight.

I wish I could show you, when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being!

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #60 – Every Wednesday I post a photo. You respond with something CREATIVE.
Behind the steel bars
is a tunnel that leads to
a prison of lost dreams,
deferred hope, abandoned faith
endless wandering through
mazes that can only be felt
for in this there is no sight…
until weariness meets humility
and the soul’s patina becomes
new again unlocking the bars
setting free what was once
drowning in the sewage of despair.
Life can begin again at any time,
any moment of the day, by choice.

For though my faith is not yours and your faith is not mine, if we each are free to light our own flame, together we can banish some of the darkness of the world.

Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.
