V.J.’s Weekly Challenge #77 – Pause – As the world bustles, and we rush to meet deadlines, check off to-do lists, and fulfill those party invites, find a moment to pause, look, and listen. Share a photograph, thought, or inspiration.
Living Poetry Monday Poetry Prompt – Taking – This week let’s write a taking poem. Next week will be all about giving, so let’s focus on its inverse. There are so many things we take: notes, pictures, care, advantage, for granted.
A moment’s pause
A focused breath
A ready stance
For taking flight into
Unknown territories
Where undiscovered Truth
Is revealed and transforms
Wings into Wisdom
Grace the wind beneath…
Eternally

Jilly’s 28 Days Of Unreason Poetry – Day 16
Write a poem inspired by this quote:
“You can’t write the clear biography of the aches and pains inside your skull”
Jim Harrison from Skull – Songs of Unreason
The aches and pains inside are being written for me
as an unending novel since I was born unto this earth
day by day from the first scream for the breast
and now praying for the Bosom’s rest
Every ache and writhe of pain
the pages with teardrop stain
with anger clad betrayals
along with the depression battles
Through these gut wrenching pages
hope has penned its lines
the greatest chapter grace defines
Love leaves its scarlet drops
and a continual harvest of new crops
The Vine tenderly prunes this branch
to grow abundant on the kingdom’s ranch
there are seasons of rain, sun, and new birth
keeping an all consuming fire burning in this hearth
You see, this novel is eternal with
never ending chapters scribed
before time began.

Sun’s golden warmth
Micropoetry Month: Nov 2017: #19 – Quatrain Poetry
In the stillness of what is to be
I close my eyes that love may see
beauty that is beyond the distance I could travel
carried by angels wings ushering me
to empyrean stature above skies blue
that I may seek Eternal wisdom that is true
free from the earthly realms of many opinions
to only hear the voice of the One that is Truth

The potter’s hands
strength in formation
with unyielding clay
softening and smoothing
the natural malformations
watered with love
guiding in to refinement
an eloquent strength
enduring the process
of time…until…
the Master Potter’s beauty
is seen to stand…Eternal
