Sidestepped Agony

Light Motifs II Three Things Challenge PL41

Welcome to the Three Things Challenge. Every day at 10PM (PST) I will post three seemingly unconnected things that will, hopefully, ignite your muse. You don’t have to use all three things if you don’t want to. There are no restrictions on length, style, genre, or anything. Simply read the prompt, see where your muse takes you, and bring us along for the ride.

Today’s prompt: tears, grass, hologram

Sidestepped Agony

She enters through the gate

to her secret place in the grass meadow

not suspecting today would come to her

a different long awaited fate

as she does every other day

she laid down on her back

and looked to the clouds display

to tell her their daily story

through their vast shapes

suddenly, a fright came to her

as a hologram appeared in the cloudscape

reflecting the true condition of her heart

a pain that cut to deep to face at the time

that her denial would help to thwart

but alas, she could no longer

run or hide for the lingering pain

refused to be silent…

and by this she could not restrain

the tears that had to be wept

for the agony, she had, so long sidestepped.

Groove Of The Heart – Minute Poem

dVerse Tuesday Poetics – How Are You Feeling? – Use the word “groove” in your poem.

Groove Of The Heart

Sadly the groove has been broken
heart now ashen
weeping lost tears
only God hears

Putting pieces back together
try to tether
anger and hate
these not my fate

restored is the once broken groove
this will improve
the heart’s healin’
peaceful feelin’
