It’s 9am and I have already…shredded the toilet paper
And kicked around the litter from my litter box
I left my mark in my mom’s favorite slipper
I tore into the dry food bag and ate till I couldn’t
Sigh…now the rest of the day will just have to be ho-hum.

Oh lead me not into those temptations
of a sugar-high relapse
for the rush is fierce
but the crash is not
Oh how the sweetness is good at first
but later comes the regretful verse
“why did I do it,” “why did I give in”
as each time it only gets worse
Oh, how I do admire the beauty of those temptations
but no longer use them to heighten my sensations
instead, I now seek the sweetness that is eternal
from the lessons learned through my roller-coaster inferno!
