Every Step Taken

In Response To:

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #115 – Every Wednesday I post a photo.  You respond with something CREATIVE.

The journey looks straightforward

as far as my eyes can see

then I begin one step at a time

in my stride I reach to where

my eyes could see before I started

and behold the path is no longer straight

it is broken, rugged, leading to

places I did not intend to go

with obstacles, twists, turns and confusion

losing my way to becoming

beaten down, weary, and ever so lost…

Then Love invited me to take His Hand

to lead me in a different way to walk this journey

a way called life still filled with the

same obstacles, twists, turns and confusion

only this time empowered with

the Strength of Grace…

Sometimes painful, sometimes seeming hopeless

yet, for every sorrow, struggle and tear wept

there is a promised healing birthing the

scars of Ancient Wisdom gained that

brings with it a bold, confident courage to carry on

with revitalized hope and appreciation

for every step taken

Word For The Day…

From:  Gratefulness.org

Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery that it is. In the boredom and pain of it, no less than in the excitement and gladness…because in the last analysis all moments are key moments and life itself is grace.

The beauty of newly

blossomed flowers

cleansing and refreshment

of a Spring rain

warmth of the Sun’s shine

all these things

Grace brings to us

a contribution of Hope

to enlighten our souls

in this season of

strengthening our faith

to see Light meeting us

where we are at in

times of uncertainty

a Comfort that reassures and

reminds us that we are

never alone despite the

outer circumstances of our lives

that may make us feel

and think that we are

Courage to see beyond

fear, chaos and unsettlement

to the Peace of knowing

we are cared for by a

Greater Love that never

fails nor forsakes us

even when we forsake that

Greater Love.

God’s Promise For Today…

From:  365promises.com

Promise #18 – Saturday, January 18, 2020

Picture

Promise #18:
My power will rest on you when you are weak.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (WEB)
He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

Hope In Hardship

RDP Saturday – Hope

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #61 – Every Wednesday I post a photo.  You respond with something CREATIVE.

Can one permit hope

for the worn and weathered

years of life taking its toll

when weariness is the lyrics

that the outer shell sings

off key due to pain and fatigue

the high pitch notes that scream

louder than the inner happiness…

Can one permit hope

with a mustard seed of faith

in the Grace where our hope is found

that reminds us that this is but

a temporary suffering

for in the dawn of a new morn

this passes and the outer shell

has a renewed strength

the gift of a heightened faith

in a Love that bears all things.

Silently in a momentary hiatus

from this past year’s journey

I reflect on blessings received

and give offerings of gratitude

with hopeful expectations

of the good that will come

in the Grace filled New Year!
