Unencumbered

Written In Response To:

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #35 – Every Wednesday I post a photo & You respond with something CREATIVE.

Perpetual journey…

open paths with green pastures

broken roads with dark trails

frozen steps with no direction

rest areas with cradled grace…

and through it all

with a child-like heart

unencumbered

we will always hear the

music of our soul and dance

The Sacred Unknown

The Haunted Wordsmith Opposites Attract Challenge #7

The challenge is to use the prompt word AND one (or more) of its antonyms in some form of writing (or creative work).

Today’s Prompt:  discourage

Antonyms:  embolden, hearten.

Image result for nature paths with crossroads

She stands at the crossroads

of many ways to choose

knowing each way will lead her

into the Sacred Unknown

she does not discourage nor fear

for with faith she is embolden

to walk each path chosen

with a promised legacy beholden

whatever the choice it will not be wrong

for no matter the journey taken

she will come out more strong

and grateful for the opportunity

that it grew her to be so beautifully hearten.

Two Views Of Same Path – Haibun Poem

Colleen’s Weekly Poetry Tuesday Challenge

Challenge: Using synonyms for Plenty & Meander write a poem choosing 1 of 5 forms of poetry: Haiku, Tanka, Haibun, Cinquain, or Senryu.

Plenty – many, sufficient, opulence.

Meander – (of river or road) wind, twist, turn, curve.

(of a person) stroll, saunter, amble, wander.

Two Views Of Same Path

As I gaze intently upon the two roads with many hues, I find myself with a deep yearning to stroll down the way into nature’s opulence of peace. Although there is another path of peace indwelling my heart, I tire of the noise of the city. Both hold the precious brilliance of Creation…

oh the many hues
which road shall I choose to walk
two views of same path

there is no need to choose for I can walk down both roads in the stillness from whence I write.
