Her Face

In Response To:

What Do You See #136 – May 30, 2022

A cut soul bleeds

stained tears upon

her face

a betrayal so deep

words cannot express

her face

the completed masterpiece

sorrow’s beauty

Burdened

In Response To:

Sadje’s What Do You See #135 – May 23, 2022 – Write an original story, poem or a caption.

Yet another path to walk

an unending journey in life

sometimes tiring to endure

will it be winding, rugged,

smooth or straight with

obstacles to overcome or

this time will it be the path

I hunger and ache for

gentle, loving, peaceful

a place where I can

finally experience rest

for my body and soul…

only time will tell

So Beautifully Flawed

In Response To:

What Do You See #126You can write a post on your blog and create a pingback to link to the original post. Write an original story, poem or a caption.

If all you see

is the facade

of this mask

then you do not see me

Look beyond my skin color

and this imperfect body

gaze into my eyes

see this soul’s light

filled with Love

that accepts you

just as you are

as we all are…

so beautifully flawed.

Ravaged

In Response To:

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #176 – Every Wednesday I post a photo.  You respond with something CREATIVE.

This desolate place

an embittered soul

with only a vague inkling

a memory of the vibrancy

that once was alive…

Now ravaged by life’s cruelty

cluttered in pain, sorrow, anger

aching for the Gardner to

tend and cultivate this

apathetic garden

that it may once again

thrive with blossoms of

hope, joy, and love

A bright light that

shall shine upon life’s cruelty

and defeat its purpose to destroy

victory in defiance.

Tilling Of The Heart

Word Of The Day Challenge – Tenderness

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #114 – Every Wednesday I post a photo.  You respond with something CREATIVE.

Like the ground frozen over

in the midst of the bitter cold

so can the heart become also

filled with unnourished dead weeds

leaving the heart in a comatose state

yet when a seed of tenderness is

sown into an unhealed heart it

shall melt the bitter cold

creating abundantly fertile soil

that sprouts new hope filled life

flowing with eternal springs of

Living Waters!

Beyond The Human Eye

In Response To:

Sue Vincent’s Weekly Thursday Photo Prompt – Keep #writephoto – Use the image below as inspiration to create a post on your own blog… poetry, prose, humour… light or dark, whatever you choose, as long as it is fairly family-friendly.

A castle’s remnant

stands lone in the distance

having survived

years of weathering

yet still maintains

its original, unique beauty

with which it was made

a beauty that will never fade

through the eyes of the cross…

a love that sees beauty

in weathered flaws

beyond the human eye.

Free Will

In Response To:

Crimson’s Creative Challenge #60 – Every Wednesday I post a photo.  You respond with something CREATIVE.

Behind the steel bars

is a tunnel that leads to

a prison of lost dreams,

deferred hope, abandoned faith

endless wandering through

mazes that can only be felt

for in this there is no sight…

until weariness meets humility

and the soul’s patina becomes

new again unlocking the bars

setting free what was once

drowning in the sewage of despair.

Life can begin again at any time,

any moment of the day, by choice.
