Even in the

hot, dry desert

choosing an

attitude of gratitude

will provide

blue skies of refreshment

for the weary soul

Stepping stones and bamboo in Tenjuan Garden in Kyoto, Japan | Dave Schweisguth | Flickr

Stepping stones

gifts we encounter

along our sojourn’s way

each one more challenging

than the last step

growing us into a

greater, higher strength

that human weakness

cannot match

a Grace that knows

no bounds

The Devils Pulpit in Finninch Glen, Scotland

A flowing river

making its way

a narrow passage

mindful to not be

thrown off course by the

protruding temptations of

that can lead it astray

instead to continue on in

the graceful flow of its

eternal journey

leaving a wake of

divine elegance

Narrow Path

enter through the gate

embrace the open pasture

soul’s grazing

Matthew 7:13-14 (AMP)

13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.
