Word For The Day…

From:  Gratefulness.org

Once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive…But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.

Weathered By Grace

A tic in the dark

toc in the light

moments fine line

between day and night

finding the way

through a ten year storm…

the door has opened

stepping to new rhythms

dancing to different beats

fresh season of unknowns

hope filled promises

growing and changing

from what was

weathered by Grace

Gratitude…

the accent of my heart

Winter’s Fury

Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge Chained Together III (2) -Winds Howl In Rage

Today’s episode is a haiku by Natsume Soseki (1867-1916), your task is to complete the Tan Renga by adding your two-lined stanza (approximately 7-7 syllables).

Here is the haiku to work with and create a Tan Renga with:

over the wintry forest
winds howl in rage
with no leaves to blow

©️ Natsume Soseki

My two-lined stanza response will be in Italics.

Winter's Fury

over the wintry forest
winds howl in rage
with no leaves to blow

the trees stand strong baring all
enduring Winter’s fury

Enveloped

As Christmas Day draws near I find there are two shades dwelling in my heart. One is the joy of celebrating my Savior’s birth. The other is the sadness of no family or community to celebrate with. I do, however, have a Light that shines on the darker shade of my heart…

grateful for the storm
veiling the inner cloudburst
enveloped in Love

although I have sorrow I can still experience the joy given through the gift of grace!
