A meager slumber
toils the mind from
too many thoughts
clamped tightly within
speech becomes muted
unable to release thoughts
left in the unknown
with unanswered questions
awaiting Wisdom’s whisper
of guidance…
a pivotal moment
do I ride the waves on
Patience’s surfboard
– OR –
let these thoughts become
tsunamis that drown me…
in this moment I choose
Patience inspired by
lessons learned from
past tsunamis –
all questions will be answered and
all things will work out for the good
– IN –
God’s perfect timing!

When gratitude is the ground on which we stand, we can be satisfied with life exactly as it is and relax into the unknown.

Living Poetry Monday Poetry Prompt – Taking – This week let’s write a taking poem. Next week will be all about giving, so let’s focus on its inverse. There are so many things we take: notes, pictures, care, advantage, for granted.
A moment’s pause
A focused breath
A ready stance
For taking flight into
Unknown territories
Where undiscovered Truth
Is revealed and transforms
Wings into Wisdom
Grace the wind beneath…
Eternally
