Micropoetry Month: Nov 2017: #28 – Cherita Poetry
Cherita is the Malay word for story or tale. A Cherita consists of a single
stanza verse, followed by a two-line verse,
and then finishing with a three-line verse.
It can be written solo or with up to three partners.
It is not titled.
The Cherita tells a story.
The morning after she stood gazing out the window with her cup of tea
She pondered the reckless choice she had made
with a stranger who smiled so cunningly
A moment taken to euphoric rapture
just to awaken to a lonely sunrise
and a choice that left her soul empty
