The Bond – Prose Poem

Use the image as inspiration for a poem or short story.

Sweet whispers of love
between two friends
listening to each others heart
breathing intimacy to the soul

Friendship, a beautiful gift
that does not come easy
and requires special listening
beyond spoken words

But if the friends turn
a prideful deaf heart
the bond of friendship will be cut
and what once was shall be no more

So friends always choose
to turn a humble listening heart
and love each other
more than oneself

And the Scissors of darkness
will forever remain to dull
to cut into the line of
the bond of friendship
